It’s been a while since I’ve done WIAW! Time flies and you don’t really realize how much of it passes.
I am currently in Washington for the summer {staying with my parents}, and I have been volunteering to take care of some of the dinners around the house. My dad has never been one to cook, and my mother has been working some really early hours so she’s usually exhausted by the time that dinner rolls around. I enjoy planning {and making} meals, so I have been doing quite a few of them over the last month or so. Here is WIAW for well, Tuesday.

This donut was another leftover from the day before…And still was good! It was the banana sundae doughnut. A white donut, chocolate frosting, banana whip cream, topped with some nuts, dried banana pieces, and of course a cherry. Yum!

Okay, okay, I’m going to be honest with you. This isn’t what I had exactly for lunch, but I did eat the leftovers of this for lunch. This was actually dinner, but you get the point. It was just as delicious also–I’ll have to make a post about this tortellini pasta deal that I made. I started on the 4th of July with this–it was gone by the end of dinner! Seriously, my family was fighting over it. It. Was. Good.
D i n n e r :
Since the fam was mostly not super hungry and/or had a late lunch, we did a tapas style dinner. We did a grilled shrimp with cilantro and garlic, a bruschetta, and veggies with hummus. This way everyone felt like they were doing some snacking {healthy snacks for the most part} and didn’t have to eat a ton. I sometimes don’t feel super hungry for dinner, but then feel hungry later and have issues because I just want ice cream by that point–the most accessible and easy thing. Not really healthy.
I have a feeling the next meal will be leftovers again–we’ve got a lot of great eats from the last week that we still have yet to eat!
I hope everyone has a fabulous day! Happy WIAW.

I love tapas style meals; it’s like giant snack platters. In fact, I had one of those for lunch today.
Happy WIAW and thanks for linking up.
