Tried & True Tuesday: Spicy Sausage Pasta

One meal that I really like to make {it’s easy!}.  This one I found a while back and decided to take a stab at it.  I wasn’t sure if my husband would care for it much {it’s a tad spicy} but went for it anyway.

First you take some sausage and onion and brown it with a little oil.  I have used all kinds of sausage…If you like things a little spicy, use a spicy sausage, if not there’s many varieties.  Even turkey sausage if you’d like to have something a little leaner.

Then you add cream, broth, pasta, a can of Rotel {again you can make that spicier too if you’d like}.

Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes.

Stir in a cup of cheese, let that melt.  You can sprinkle some on top and put it under the broiler {I usually skip this step because my pans won’t go in the oven} or you can just sprinkle it on top.
